Connie's Trunks gives tired old trunks new life from the beautiful shores of Sebago Lake, Maine.

Antique Trunk #240 - Flat Top Cabin Trunk with Divided Tray, Removable Legs, Corbin Lock & Key

This trunk is a great piece of history. Cabin trunks were designed to fit under the berth of a train or a ship, which is why it is called a Cabin Trunk. The abundance of this trunk's fancy hardware sets it apart from most. The bold wood grain, especially on the top, along with the leatherette trim also add to its overall beauty. The Corbin lock works great and comes with a key. The heavy duty guides on each side of the lock help to line up the lid when closing, taking undue stress off the rear hinges. The divided tray offers nice storage for those special items. Originally, most of the outside and inside surfaces were covered with canvas and thick cardboard which we removed to expose the beauty of the wood. The outside and inside have several coats of tung oil for protection and then hand rubbed for added beauty. The surface is waterproof so it's ready to enjoy. It measurers 34.5 inches wide, 19.5 inches front to back, and 17.5 inches tall (with the legs as pictured) and 13 inches without the legs. The replacement leather handles are from Brettunsvillage.com while the handle end caps are original. Price includes shipping and packaging to any of the 48 contiguous states.
