Connie's Trunks gives tired old trunks new life from the beautiful shores of Sebago Lake, Maine.

Antique Trunk #279 - Large Flat Top Steamer Trunk with Corbin Lock & Key

We love this trunk! Since it's not pine like most trunks, but a heavier finer grain wood like maple, the darker wood tone adds to its overall beauty. It could make its home in both a country setting or in a dressier room. The rugged hardware has great detail. The Corbin Lock works great and comes with a key. Note the beautiful corner hardware along with the hardware on the top front and rear edges (Scallop hardware). The main purpose of the top and corner hardware was to protect the edges during its years of travel and also to add a touch of beauty. On each side of the lock there is a triangle shape guide that helps to line up the top with the body of the trunk, taking pressure off the rear hinges.

All the hardware is original along with the darker leather handles. The inside and outside have several coats of tung oil for protection and then hand rubbed for added beauty and softness. The durable finish is waterproof, so go ahead and enjoy it. It measures 36 inches wide, 23 inches front to back, and 24 inches tall.

The price includes packaging and shipping to any of the 48 contiguous states. It also includes the extra cost to ship a trunk this large and this heavy (ca: 1880s).

Price: $650
